Vikings passing game is a weapon again

There was a bit of concern surrounding Minnesota’s passing attack following their first four games of the season. But after Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was able to put up 306 passing yards against the New York Giants last week, the level of concern has certainly decreased.

Minnesota should have the opportunity to put up a bunch of good passing numbers, once again, on Sunday against the Eagles. Philadelphia’s pass defense isn’t quite striking any fear in their opponents this year as they are currently giving up the sixth-most passing yards per game.

Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs should have a bunch of chances to make plays against an Eagles defense this week that is clearly struggling to defend the pass. After a monster game last Sunday, running back Dalvin Cook is another weapon the Vikings can utilize to exploit Philadelphia’s weak passing defense this week.

Minnesota also has the luxury of being very familiar with current Eagles safety Andrew Sendejo and how poor he is in coverage. Since he was with the team for eight years, the Vikings know that pass coverage is not something Sendejo exactly excels in, so look for Minnesota to try and take advantage of this on Sunday.
