Cook will run for 150 yards

You know you’re having a great year when 71 scoreless yards is a disappointing performance, but that’s the type of year that Dalvin Cook has had. Prior to the loss to Kansas City last week, Cook had racked up either 110 yards on the ground or scored a touchdown in each of the Vikings’ first eight games of the season.

Without the big plays, the Vikings offense had its share of issues but still did enough to give themselves a chance to win the game. With the Cowboys possessing several weapons on the other side of the ball, the Vikings will need to establish the run and control the clock, which is something they should be able to do.

Dallas comes into Sunday’s game ranking ninth against the run, but that’s after playing a smorgasbord of bad running backs. Although they bottled up Saquon Barkley during Monday night’s victory over the Giants, they allowed 120 yards on just 11 carries in their first meeting.

After meetings with Adrian Peterson and Kenyan Drake, the Cowboys allowed 117 yards on the ground to the New Orleans Saints, 107 yards and four touchdowns to Aaron Jones,

While it hasn’t been a mauling by opposing teams on the ground, it hasn’t been domination, which led Dallas to acquire Michael Bennett at the trade deadline. Minnesota could also get a huge boost if Leighton Vander Esch misses another game with a neck stinger, which could clear the way for Cook to get back on track.
