Concussions starting becoming an issue for Kline

Overall, the Vikings have been pretty lucky when it’s come to their offensive line avoiding injuries this season. A few blockers have missed some time for Minnesota this year, but none of them have dealt with any really serious ailments.

That was until Sunday night when right guard Josh Kline suffered his second concussion of the season.

Kline collided with Cowboys defensive end Demarcus Lawrence during the third quarter of the Vikings’ win and it seemed to shake him up pretty badly. He ended up sitting out the remainder of the game and the team had to turn to backup Dakota Dozier to take over at right guard.

Kline’s latest concussion is concerning since it’s already his second this season. He suffered one back in Week 3 and it resulted in him missing Minnesota’s matchup against the Chicago Bears in Week 4.

It wouldn’t be surprising if the Vikings decided to keep Kline out of action until after their bye week, meaning he would miss their game against the Denver Broncos next Sunday. Considering Dozier did well as his replacement in Dallas though, Minnesota’s offensive line should be fine if their starting right guard needs some extra time to recover.
