Vikings are well-rested and hungry

While it was disappointing that they lost to the Packers in Week 16, the outcome still ended up being pretty beneficial for Minnesota.

Since their seeding in the playoffs couldn’t change with the result of their regular season finale against the Chicago Bears, the Vikings decided to make the smart decision and rest a bunch of their top players.

So even though they have to enter the NFC postseason bracket as the lowest seed, Minnesota may actually have one of the healthiest rosters in the conference for the playoffs

With their week off, most of the Vikings’ top players will be itching to get back out on the field too. That Week 16 loss is the last taste of action they have in their mouth and Minnesota will be looking to prove that they are a better team than the one that fell short of defeating Green Bay two weeks ago.

The last time Minnesota had an extra seven days of rest happened back in Week 13 when they almost came away with a massive road victory over the Seattle Seahawks. On Sunday, the Vikings will be hoping that this time, their extra rest off will result in a different outcome and they’ll be leaving the field with a win.
