Second Round (Pick No. 58)

Solomon Kindley – IOL (Georgia)

Vikings fans rejoice, the team got an offensive lineman! This pick might sit better with everyone considering Minnesota’s huge need for an offensive guard.

Solomon Kindley may be the best natural guard in this class. He’s played both right and left side in college, but his most recent position has been on the left side.

The fact that Kindley can play both the left and right side of the guard position makes him a very intriguing Day 2 option for the Vikings. With Pat Elflein struggling throughout the entire season, Minnesota needs to lock down their guard positions. It’ll be interesting to see what they do with Josh Kline, who played fairly well at right guard in 2019 and was much more consistent than most expected.

Kindley plays a very powerful type of game on the interior of the line. He has extremely powerful hands combined with a very strong anchor. He’s tough to move, but he can easily move defenders.

For a bigger and more powerful lineman, Kindley has some good athleticism and he can move very well. Pair him with this the Vikings’ zone running scheme the team could strike gold on the second day of this year’s draft.
