Kendall Fuller – CB

Speaking of the Redskins, Kendall Fuller’s career was off to a great start when he was suiting up for the burgundy and gold. But after two seasons, Washington shipped him off to the Kansas City Chiefs as part of the trade that involved quarterback Alex Smith.

Fuller’s time with the Chiefs didn’t turn out as well as it did when he was with the Redskins. After starting 15 games for Kansas City in 2018, he missed some time due to injury this past season and it resulted in him just appearing in 11 contests with only four of them including him in the starting lineup.

Fuller is at his best when he’s lined up in the slot and that is where he excelled during his tenure in Washington. Once he landed with the Chiefs, however, he was forced to line up at a number of different positions in the secondary and, unsurprisingly, it led to him getting exposed in pass coverage at times.

Still, Fuller is about to be 25-years-old and he would be a great option for the Vikings to bring in as their new slot corner. Mackensie Alexander has assumed the role in Minnesota’s defense for the last two seasons, but he’s a free agent this year as well and there is no guarantee that he will be returning to the Twin Cities for 2020.

So if Alexander heads lands somewhere else this offseason, the Vikings will be in need of a new corner to play the slot and Fuller could be the guy for the job.
