6 free-agent cornerbacks the Vikings could sign in 2020

Aqib Talib
Why shouldn’t the Vikings take a shot on an aging veteran who may be looking for one more chance at a title?
Aqib Talib has been in the league for what feels like forever. He was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2008. He has had an extremely productive career amassing 462 tackles, 125 pass breakups, and 35 interceptions. He is 33-years-old, but he probably has at least one more productive season left in him.
Talib is a playmaker. The guy just has a knack for making big plays and the Vikings secondary could certainly use a corner like him. Talib does have a history of off-the-field incidents, but he’s matured over time and most of that stuff is in the past.
If Minnesota is gearing up for one last playoff push with the current staff and roster, then bringing in an experienced playmaker like Talib makes a ton of sense.
With his age, he could come at a bargain price for the Vikings. Talib has bounced around the league since leaving the Buccaneers and if offered a two-year deal for a little above the veterans minimum, it could be something he’s willing to consider.
While it is a long shot, playing indoors, with a cornerback guru like Mike Zimmer, and reuniting with his former head coach in Denver, Gary Kubiak, could all be factors to make him landing with Minnesota a real possibility.
