LeSean McCoy

Even though LeSean McCoy is a shell of his former self, he would provide the Vikings with a veteran presence in their backfield that can fill into any situation.

The former Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills standout is now a Super Bowl champion after contributing to the success of the Kansas City Chiefs last season. Having a Super Bowl ring is not something too many current Minnesota players can boast about and this championship experience would be invaluable.

With the Chiefs last season, McCoy still averaged a very respectable 4.6 yards per carry and he is capable of conjuring some nice runs in space. He is also a real threat catching the ball and this has been a huge contributing factor in his longevity over the years.

Even though McCoy is heading into the twilight of his career, there is plenty to suggest he can still be of use. If he is willing to sign a cheap deal, then there are plenty of contending teams primed for a run at the Vince Lombardi trophy in 2020 that will show an interest.

The Vikings could potentially be one of them, but signing a veteran like McCoy might raise some concerns about the youth movement in their backfield. It may also hamper the development of Alexander Mattison, who has plenty more to come provided he continues to receive the opportunities.
