Seattle Seahawks

For decades, there has always seemed to be a pipeline between the Vikings and Seahawks for some reason. A number of notable players including John Randle, Percy Harvin, Steve Hutchinson, Nate Burleson, Blair Walsh, and Warren Moon all spent time in both Minnesota and Seattle during their NFL careers.

Could Everson Griffen be next?

Tempting Griffen to join the Seahawks this offseason is not only the talent the team has on their roster, but it could also be a chance for him to reunite with his former college head coach at USC, Pete Carroll.

With Jadeveon Clowney being a free agent this year, Seattle might be in need of a new starting defensive end for 2020 if he decides to sign with another team. While the Seahawks search for a more long-term solution, Griffen could be a guy they bring in to be a starter for a couple of seasons.

Seattle is projected to have over $50 million in cap space this offseason, so affording the veteran pass rusher doesn’t really seem like it would be a problem. If Griffen doesn’t return to the Vikings, could he be headed to the pacific northwest?
