6 free-agent safeties the Vikings could sign in 2020

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix
The bridge from Green Bay to Minnesota runs strong and after Ha Ha Clinton Dix spent the 2019 season in Chicago, why not have him continue his NFC North tour with the Vikings?
As a five-year veteran, Clinton-Dix already knows the quarterbacks in the division and with 16 career interceptions, it’s clear that he’s a ball hawk that could provide the same coverage skills as Anthony Harris.
Well, actually, the comparisons stop there. While Clinton-Dix matches up with Harris in terms of total interceptions, his style of play might drive Minnesota fans absolutely insane thanks to an ability to go for broke that results in wide-open receivers to make plays and poor tackling with eight missed tackles in each of the past three seasons (although, it should be noted his 9.9 attempts per missed tackle ranked better than Devin McCourty).
With an Alabama pedigree, many were expecting big things from Clinton-Dix when he arrived in Green Bay in 2014, but that never materialized. More than anything, he could just be a bridge for 2020 before the Vikings go and find a successor in 2021 or the future.
A lot of Minnesota fans wouldn’t be laughing, but Clinton-Dix wouldn’t be the worst possible outcome in their offseason renovations.
