Denzelle Good – OL

Denzelle Good is one of the NFL’s best backup offensive lineman and he has earned the right to make a starting bid on another franchise.

He is very versatile and he can operate at either guard position in addition to right tackle if required. Good made $1.4 million in base salary last season with the Oakland Raiders and he was on the field for 33 percent of their offensive snaps.

The Vikings’ problems on the interior of their offensive line in 2019 were well documented, especially during their Divisional Round playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Good began his career with the Indianapolis Colts as a seventh-round selection in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Mars Hill University before joining the Raiders in 2018.

He has coped admirably with the rigors of the NFL despite odds being against him. Good’s reliability and ability to adjust to different situations are real assets for any organization to have.

Whether he snags a starting role in Minnesota or he is used as a reserve, Good is a player worth considering and he is a ready-made replacement for Pat Elflein or backup lineman Rashod Hill.

The 28-year-old has plenty left in the tank and he has minimal wear and tear on his body. Good is a powerful presence on the offensive line and he has nice footwork in passing situations.

A contract in the region of $6 million over three years might be enough for the Vikings to get Good to commit. But a promise of a starting spot might be equally as enticing.
