6 potential landing spots for Xavier Rhodes after Vikings release

Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles made the playoffs almost by default in a poor NFC East last season. More will be needed this time around with the expected improvement of other teams within the division.
Their secondary was incredibly poor in 2019 and played a leading role in their eventual downfall. They lost momentum with a series of injuries and poor play from members of their current roster.
Cornerback trio Jalen Mills, Ronald Darby and Craig James are all out of contract and doubtful to return. Xavier Rhodes represents an experienced figure who is a low risk, high reward veteran that could improve their secondary if he returns to his form of old.
Whether he can do that at this stage of his career and after two seasons of struggles remains to be seen. NFL teams normally tend to give second chances to players with Rhodes’ resume and Philadelphia will need someone of his ilk in a division that boasts significant aerial threats.
It will be up to Rhodes to prove he still has the desire and will to turn his career around. He has been burned on countless occasions over the last two years and the Eagles will not want an undependable option on the outside who is lacking in confidence.
There is little doubt they are going to give this area of the field significant attention in the coming weeks, whether that be in free agency or the NFL Draft.
