5 former Vikings greats who ended their careers with another team

Percy Harvin (Buffalo Bills)
Percy Harvin was surrounded by controversy even before the Vikings drafted him. He apparently failed a drug test at the Combine and that news broke just days before the Draft. Vikings then-head coach Brad Childress met with Harvin in person and the Vikings ended up taking him with the 23rd overall pick.
That move turned out to be a good one. Harvin was a dynamic weapon for the team on offense and as a return man. He was extremely versatile as he could line up anywhere and be a threat running or catching the ball. The 5’11, 184 pound Harvin was pound for pound the toughest player on the team and was extremely hard for defenders to take down. He was a dynamic return man who was always a threat to take one to the house. He was a huge reason why the Vikings made it all the way to the 2009 NFC Championship Game. While he was a risky pick when the team made it, he proved to be well worth the gamble.
Harvin did have some issues. He missed a lot of time due to migraines and never once started all 16 games for the Vikings. Harvin also had some anger issues and there were plenty of reports of him butting heads with teammates and coaches. He only lasted four seasons with the Vikings before being traded to the Seahawks. After two injury-plagued seasons in Seattle, he spent a season with the Jets before finishing his career with the Buffalo Bills. It’s ironic how Vikings fans will again have to get used to seeing one of their former beloved playmakers end up in Bills colors, as Stefon Diggs will be donning those this Fall.
