Earn a First-Team All-Pro selection

If Yannick Ngakoue gets anywhere near these targets in 2020, then it might come with a surprise First-Team All-Pro selection. This is the pinnacle for every player across the league to attain. But whether the defensive end can get to this sort of level remains to be seen.

There is a lot going for Ngakoue with the Vikings. He has a defensive guru for a head coach in Mike Zimmer who will get the most out of his outstanding skill set. Having some tremendous players around him is something else working in his favor that the pass-rusher could take full advantage of.

It was no surprise that Ngakoue posted career numbers when the Jaguars defense was at its strongest in 2017. The unit in Minnesota might not have that same dominant look to it. But they are still loaded with playmakers on the front end and they also possess arguably the league’s best safety duo in Anthony Harris and Harrison Smith.

Ngakoue and Danielle Hunter will be tasked with providing enough pressure to take some of the load off their young cornerback group. The Vikings can also call upon Ifeadi Odenigbo as a prominent pass-rushing option, which only strengthens their prospects of wrestling back the NFC North title from the Packers.

Everything is in place for Ngakoue to make a real go of things in Minnesota. If he reaches or even exceeds expectations, then an All-Pro selection might not be far behind.
