Apparently the Buffalo Bills are incredibly superior to the Minnesota Vikings.

Prior to the current NFL season, there has always seemed to be a bit of a link between the fans who root for the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills.

Maybe it’s because both fan bases are able to relate to one another when talking about heartbreak and the disappointment that came with losing in four separate Super Bowls.

Then this past offseason happened and the Vikings and Bills decided to make a trade that resulted in Stefon Diggs landing in western New York. So for at least the next few years, some of the Minnesota and Buffalo fans are going to be paying attention to the other team to see which franchise got the better end out of this deal.

The Vikings and Bills have only played two games so far this season and both teams are off to totally different starts.

Buffalo has kicked off their 2020 campaign with two victories while Minnesota is sitting with an 0-2 record after two games for the first time since 2013. Despite it still being so early in the season, Bills fans haven’t wasted any time to give Vikings fans their take on which team won the Diggs trade.

Okay, so no one is going to disagree that Buffalo is off to a much better start this year than Minnesota. That’s not even a debate. But let’s look at who each team has gone up against during the first two weeks.

The Bills’ first two wins have come against the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins. Two teams who are not expected to contend for much of anything this season and two teams that have combined for one appearance in the playoffs since 2011.

Then let’s look at the two squads the Vikings have faced this year, the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts. These are two teams that a number of people believe will win their respective divisions this season and since 2011, they have a combined 10 appearances in the playoffs.

Let’s say the schedules were flipped for Buffalo and Minnesota this year? How would the results of those games turn out? It’s hard to imagine the Vikings struggling to get wins over the Dolphins and Jets and it’s not crazy to believe that the Bills would have lost their matchups with the Packers and Colts.

So let’s maybe cool it down for a little bit. If the performances of these teams continues to trend in the same direction, then fine, Buffalo fans can go ahead and talk trash.

Oh and as for Diggs? Well, he’s a really good receiver and there’s no denying that. The Bills are lucky to have him and it’s unfortunate that things didn’t work out for him in Minnesota. However, we also shouldn’t judge how the rest of his 2020 season will go based on the first two games either.
