Make Mike Glennon uncomfortable
Mike Glennon is no stranger to Minnesota Vikings fans following his less than stellar time under center for the Chicago Bears. He has bounced around the league since and has been given another chance to prove his worth as a starter for the Jaguars, who look set to go with a quarterback early in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Glennon is set to make his second start of the campaign at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday. Despite his previous experience, knowing this might be his final chance to stake a claim is going to bring its own set of nerves.
The veteran was solid if not spectacular in Jacksonville’s narrow 27-25 loss to the Cleveland Browns last time out, completing 57.14 percent of his passes for 235 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, and a passer rating of 96.7.
Making the former North Carolina State star as uncomfortable as possible is going to be pivotal to the Vikings’ chances of attaining their sixth triumph of the campaign. This can be done by generating pressure from the defensive front, taking away his primary threat in James Robinson, and disguising schemes in a similar fashion to that which caused so much confusion for Teddy Bridgewater upon his Minnesota return in Week 12.
