Khalil Mack – LB

Khalil Mack is a player that always needs to be accounted for by the opposing team on every snap of the football. The Vikings actually did pretty well blocking Mack in the first meeting this season as he had just three tackles in the matchup and no quarterback hits, pressures, or tackles for a loss. He did have an interception, but from a pass-rushing standpoint, he was pretty well neutralized.

Minnesota’s offensive line came to play that Monday night and that was arguably their best performance of the season. They’ve really struggled since that game and Mack could cash in on those struggles with a huge performance.

He’s still lighting quick off the ball with a great combination of strength and flexibility. This guy knows how to win against opposing offensive tackles in so many ways and if he’s left one-on-one, he’ll win that battle the majority of the time.

The Vikings need to be sure to constantly chip Mack with a tight end or fullback and roll out away from him as often as possible.

If Mack can get going and make some plays like he did last week against the Texans, Kirk Cousins and Minnesota’s offense could be in for a long and miserable afternoon.
