Connection to Vikings: Keenan McCardell
Remember how the Vikings should look into Keelan Cole from the previous page? Well, Chris Conley has the same connection to the Minnesota Vikings with Keenan McCardell, except their time together was only the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
On the surface, Conley’s stats don’t look much different from that of Cole. 2020 saw him play in 15 games for Jacksonville and start four of those. In those games, he caught 40 passes for 471 yards and two touchdowns.
Conley has six seasons of NFL experience under his belt but has spent the last two years having the uncertainty of a Jacksonville quarterback situation. Having a consistent quarterback like Kirk Cousins could make him a much more consistent player.
2019 was the best year of Conley’s career and the 28-year-old pass-catcher could work their way back into a huge role going forward wherever he lands. In fact, it would be kind of interesting to see how both Conley and Cole would do with a shift to the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
