Baron Browning – LB (Ohio State)

One area where the Vikings might need some additional depth is at linebacker. Things took a downward turn on defense last season whenever Eric Kendricks was off the field, and although the team managed to pick up Nick Vigil in free agency, much more will be needed.

There is just no telling where Baron Browning is going to go in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Ohio State star was seen more as a rotational piece during the early portion of his college career with the Buckeyes. But many analysts believe his physical attributes will serve him far better once the prospect arrives at the next level.

Browning could just be scratching the surface of what he is truly capable of. He is a formidable presence against the run, he can generate pressure in opposing backfields when needed, and he also holds himself well in coverage. Simply put, there is plenty to like about his chances in a professional environment.

The ceiling is incredibly high where Browning is concerned. Getting more in the way of reps will only improve the player and there is little doubt he would offer a significant amount should the Vikings end up going in this direction.

Just which round Browning will be drafted is unpredictable. Some have him going in the first, second, or third rounds, depending on which mock drafts you look at. So it will be a case of wait and see for the player considering this sort of outlook.
