5 Bold Predictions: Minnesota Vikings vs. Cleveland Browns – Week 4
By Chris Schad
Minnesota will climb back to .500
Last week, there was little optimism surrounding the Vikings. Even when they fell down 17-7, it seemed like this team was going to hit rock bottom and massive changes were on the way. It shows the power that winning has on a franchise and that could carry over into Sunday’s game.
Mike Zimmer and Kevin Stefanski don’t have warm, fuzzy feelings about seeing each other on Sunday but they know what each other wants to do. While both teams have changed since Stefanski’s departure, both units practiced against each other for years. That should add to an interesting chess match and a close game.
If there’s a sign of optimism, it’s that the Vikings are a handful of plays from being 3-0. After Dalvin Cook’s (non) fumble in Cincinnati and Greg Joseph’s missed kick in Arizona, both seem to be a fluke and could get to a position that Zimmer has used as a springboard in the past.
Getting back to 2-2 has to be a priority and if the Vikings can earn another win, they’ll have the chance to make the same type of run they made in 2017 and 2019.
