Vikings will get another win over the Lions

The Vikings are reeling heading into this game, but they could not be happier to see the Lions. Kirk Cousins is 6-0 against Detroit since his arrival to Minnesota in 2018 and Mike Zimmer hasn’t lost to Detroit since 2017.

Although Matt Patricia is gone, Dan Campbell has been too aggressive at times and may be willing to give the Vikings a break. Campbell has shown a knack for going for it on fourth down, with 10 attempts in the first four games.

According to Matt Dery of the “Locked On Lions” podcast, only 11 teams have 10 or more fourth-down conversion attempts in the first four weeks. It’s not by coincidence either. The 2015 Miami Dolphins were the last team to accomplish this feat and fired Joe Philbin after Week 4. His replacement? Dan Campbell.

Perhaps Campbell’s aggressiveness will pay off someday, but he just doesn’t have the talent to stack up with the Vikings. That should turn Sunday’s game into a laugher and enough to get some of Zimmer’s harshest critics off his back for one day.

Prediction: Vikings win 34-13
