K.J. Osborn – WR

There was hope and expectation in equal measure for K.J. Osborn‘s chances in 2021 after a sensational training camp. The wide receiver was one of the offseason’s stars, and he’s followed this up with some outstanding performances for the Vikings through Week 6.

Osborn’s size, athleticism, and ability to come up big in clutch moments mean the Vikings might have finally found its No. 3 wide receiver behind Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson. The former fifth-round pick came up with the winning overtime touchdown at the Panthers, which was further proof of the trust being built between the player and quarterback Kirk Cousins.

The Auburn product is a complimentary piece at this stage. Osborn is benefitting from additional space thanks to so many other top playmakers that need attention, so it would be a big surprise if his strong campaign didn’t continue following the bye week.

With Thielen now in the twilight of his career, Osborn has a big opportunity awaiting him in Minnesota. If he can maintain his current form and improve across all areas, then the wideout might find his reps increase in 2022 and beyond.

It’s been an outstanding start for Osborn, but it’s only that. What comes next is even more important now teams know the threat he brings to the table.
