Noah Igbinoghene – CB (Miami Dolphins)

The one player that really stands out as a trade candidate in 2022 is Miami’s Noah Igbinoghene. A first-round selection in 2020, Igbinoghene has struggled to see the field in his first two seasons, and the experience ahead of him on the depth chart is not doing him any favors.

With Xavien Howard and Byron Jones holding down the outside and Jevon Holland emerging as a versatile piece in the secondary, the Dolphins don’t really need Igbinoghene. He could very well be on his way out in search of playing time elsewhere.

Minnesota has no talent at cornerback as things stand right now. Adding a former first-round player who has a lot of speed is worth a glance. Igbinoghene has the size and demeanor to be a slot cornerback, which the Vikings currently lack.

Regardless of Mackensie Alexander‘s standing with the organization, the Vikings need to upgrade in the slot. Using a Day 3 pick or a future pick to get an untapped player like Igbinoghene should be on their radar, just as C.J. Henderson was on Carolina’s a year ago.

Minnesota is desperate for help in the secondary. While there is probably a reason why Igbinoghene cannot stay on the field in Miami, he could just need a fresh start to really get a fire lit under him. The Vikings have to be willing to take that sort of risk given their cornerback depth right now.
