Greedy Williams (CB – Cleveland Browns)

Similar to Igbinoghene, Greedy Williams is stuck behind a pretty strong depth chart in Cleveland with two first-round cornerbacks ahead of him. Denzel Ward and Greg Newsome make up one of the league’s best young duos on the outside, leaving Williams a bit left out moving forward.

Williams was a second-round selection back in 2019 after sliding a bit from his first-round expectations coming out of LSU. With two full seasons and 20 starts under his belt, Williams can be an impact player on the right team moving forward. Given Cleveland’s resources in the secondary over the past few years, his role seems to be diminishing.

Last season, Williams started eight games and recorded 10 PBUs with two interceptions after missing the 2020 season with a shoulder injury. His blend of size (6-2, 185) and speed (4.37-second 40-yard dash) is enough to warrant another opportunity as a starter elsewhere.

The Vikings have some size with Cameron Dantzler at cornerback, but he lacks the speed of a true shutdown option. Greedy Williams offers a bit more speed and could be a very nice compliment if Dantzler holds down one starting spot moving forward. While Dantzler has been inconsistent, his flashes have been brilliant.

There will be cornerbacks out there on the trade market if the Vikings want to be aggressive heading into next season.
