Alex Collins – Seattle Seahawks

Now that the fantasy signing has been discussed, it’s time to get back to reality. Alex Collins is a much more realistic player to come to the Minnesota Vikings based on his potential contract size and experience in the league.

Collins has spent five seasons in the NFL, splitting them between the Seattle Seahawks and the Baltimore Ravens. During that time, he averaged 4.1 yards per carry and 7.9 yards per reception while scoring 19 offensive touchdowns in 50 games played.

At 27 years old, he is young enough to still have a spring in his step while still having the experience of starting 29 games under his belt. This combination should be appealing, especially if the new regime is unsure of how much Kene Nwangwu can contribute offensively.

Being a relatively inexpensive option may have some teams see him as an RB2 rather than a potential RB3 or RB4. For that reason, his actual signed contract for 2022 will likely be more than Spotrac estimates it to be.
