5 free agents who could fill immediate needs for the Vikings in 2022

Brian Allen – C
The Minnesota Vikings have a dilemma on their hands with Garrett Bradbury this offseason. Another campaign littered with poor discipline and inconsistencies in pass protection means the former No. 16 overall selection didn’t reach expectations once again, which could lead a new staff into moving on from the player this offseason.
Bradbury could still have some trade value left. Even if the Vikings won’t get anything like the first-round pick they utilized on the North Carolina State product in return.
This is a realistic scenario if the Vikings can find the right sort of replacement who could come in and make an immediate contribution. And it just so happens someone that new head coach Kevin O’Connell knows well could be available in free agency.
Brian Allen was absolutely outstanding for the Los Angeles Rams during their Super Bowl run. His supreme protection was matched by impressive communication at the line of scrimmage and if O’Connell is looking to surround himself with familiar faces, this would be a tremendous addition.
Like in most cases this offseason, a lot will depend on how money Minnesota can free up in pursuit of strengthening problem areas. But O’Connell’s previous association with Allen could make all the difference in this scenario.
