Oftentimes, when a new head coach and general manager join a team, they want to bring in players that best fit the vision that they have for the future of the franchise. This will probably be the case with the Raiders as they move forward with new head coach Josh McDaniels and new general manager Dave Ziegler.

There have been rumblings of Las Vegas possibly wanting to sign Derek Carr to an extension this offseason. But the Raiders’ new regime could also be willing to trade Carr this year if the right offer comes along.

A straight-up trade between Las Vegas and Minnesota in which the two teams exchange Carr and Cousins doesn’t seem very likely. But who really knows what McDaniels is looking to do at the quarterback position during the next few years.

Remember, the Raiders head coach is the same guy who traded up to select Tim Tebow in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft when he was the head coach of the Denver Broncos. So anything could be possible for Las Vegas this offseason with McDaniels now leading the way.
