Donte Deayon, cornerback

Expect a lot of players with connections to the Los Angeles Rams to be linked to the Minnesota Vikings and that comes double when that player is a cornerback since that’s one of the team’s biggest needs.

Donte Deayon is an interesting prospect. He’s only 5’9 and 159 pounds, but the 28-year-old defensive back has a lot of fight and showed his tenacity during his 21 games played and 1 start in five seasons between the Giants and Rams.

Deayon won’t be in line to be a starter but he would offer an interesting talent to be in on nickel situations or on special teams to be able to fill some needs on a budget. He notched career highs in tackles and pass defenses on his way to helping the Rams win a Super Bowl.

The Vikings will likely select a cornerback early during the 2022 NFL Draft, so don’t be surprised if the roster gets filled out by high-potential players fighting for the remaining positions. Deayon fits that description perfectly.
