Vikings Free Agency Rumors – Day 3

Vikings reportedly attempting to trade Hunter

As they look for ways to clear more salary cap space, the Vikings have reportedly been “trying to trade,” defensive end Danielle Hunter this year according to the Star Tribune’s Ben Goessling.

Moving on from Hunter would leave Minnesota with a gigantic hole on their defensive line, but they are desperate for money this offseason as they have plenty of other holes on their roster to fill.

Peterson reiterates his desire to return to Minnesota

Patrick Peterson was a surprise signing by the Vikings last year, and this offseason, the veteran cornerback has made it known that he wants to remain in the Twin Cities, if possible.

Peterson continued to express his desire to re-sign with Minnesota on the latest episode of his All Things Covered podcast and during an appearance on NFL Network on Wednesday according to the Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson.

As has been the case with every free agent from the Vikings’ 2021 roster this year, it will likely just come down to how much the veteran corner is looking to get paid for the 2022 season.
