2021 Teams: Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans

Last offseason, Eric Wilson decided to see what he could get in free agency after a career-best season with the Vikings during the 2020 campaign.

Turns out, even after racking up 122 tackles in 2020, teams weren’t really fighting to sign Wilson during the 2021 offseason.

Wilson eventually ended up with the Philadelphia Eagles, but before he could even figure out his favorite cheesesteak place, he was waived during the middle of the 2021 season. Luckily for the former Minnesota linebacker, the Houston Texans claimed him a day after he was waived by the Eagles.

In a total of 14 games for the Eagles and Texans last season, Wilson finished with 46 tackles, one interception, and one pass breakup.

During his time with the Vikings from 2017 to 2020, the 27-year-old made most of his plays on special teams. If Wilson wants to continue his career in the NFL, going back to making plays on special teams is something he might have to consider.
