Bisi Johnson – WR

It might be a little harsh for Bisi Johnson to end up on this list after he missed the 2021 campaign through injury. But as we all know, the NFL is a cutthroat business and this is another outstanding class of wide receivers emerging from the college ranks.

Johnson’s story is a curious one. The former seventh-round pick burst onto the scene as a rookie for the Minnesota Vikings, but a down year in 2020 followed by a significant injury problem leaves his overall aspirations hanging in the balance.

There is no doubt Johnson has to hit the ground running this year. The wideout already has Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson, and the emerging K.J. Osborn to contend with, so any more fresh arrivals could see his roster spot hanging by a thread.

Minnesota has the capital to perhaps pick up a wide receiver early should they wish. Even if the smart money would be to wait until the mid-rounds in pursuit of finding a difference-maker.

It’s another exceptional group, so this is entirely possible. Any new pass-catcher the Vikings bring in would be laying down the gauntlet to Johnson, which isn’t ideal considering it might take a little time to get back into his old form after such a long time away from the gridiron.
