Kyle Hamitlon – S (Notre Dame)

There hasn’t been any breaking news or even buzz that the Vikings are interested in Kyle Hamilton but what is making this once impossibility become more of a reality, is the way many of the analysts are predicting the first 11 picks will go down.

It’s widely expected that at least four edge rushers will come off the board in the top 10 picks. It’s also believed that at least two tackles will be gone, and Derek Stingley Jr. and Sauce Gardner are both seen as surefire top ten picks as we get closer to the draft.

There’s also a solid chance that at least one quarterback goes and possibly two receivers. That would make Hamilton still available when Minnesota is on the clock with the 12th overall pick.

Hamilton would make a ton of sense for the Vikings. Harrison Smith‘s illustrious career with the Vikings is winding down, and it would be fitting to replace one Golden Domer with another.

Hamilton is an extremely talented football player with great coverage skills who reads the quarterback and the offense better than any player in the draft.

He can cover acres of ground in a hurry and is a solid tackler. He’s truly one of the elite talents in the draft and is only falling due to a case of over-evaluation that happens during the long draft season.

Hamilton falling to pick No. 12 was once a pipe dream. However, as the hours tick away, and we get closer to the draft, it is looking more and more possible, and even likely.
