It’s not the first time a musician has referenced the Minnesota Vikings in their lyrics, but the team was recently mentioned in the song “Churchill Downs” by Jack Harlow.

Over the years, the Minnesota Vikings have been mentioned in a number of songs by some of the most popular musical artists in the world.

Most recently, Lizzo created a stir when she sang about having a “new man on the Minnesota Vikings” in her hit song, “Truth Hurts“. To this day, no one has been able to figure out who exactly she was referring to.

Now, Jack Harlow has incorporated the Vikings into one of his song lyrics. The chart-topping rapper from Lexington, Kentucky referenced the purple and gold in his song “Churchill Downs” from his new album “Come Home the Kids Miss You”.

Does Jack Harlow know that the Minnesota Vikings play indoors?

In the song, which also features a guest appearance by Drake, much of what Harlow is rapping about has to do with the experiences that he’s dealt with during the early part of his life and career.

In the middle of the song, he says “school counselors all know how they life is at home,
cold like the Minnesota Vikings at home.”

Now, these lyrics would make a lot more sense if the Vikings played their home games in an outdoor stadium. However, Minnesota’s home matchups take place inside the beautiful U.S. Bank Stadium every season, which is a facility with a roof and temperature control.

If Harlow wanted to say “cold like the Minnesota Vikings hometown,” that would definitely be something that makes more sense.

Even though the Vikings have played their home games indoors for all but two seasons since 1982, the team is still associated with cold weather by many people, including Harlow.

It’s just how it’s really always been when it comes to any team in Minnesota and it will probably never change.
