4 biggest disappointments from the Vikings 2022 offseason

Throwing shade at Mike Zimmer
In truth, the writing was on the wall for Mike Zimmer long before he was fired. It was a productive, lengthy spell as head coach for the respected figure, but things went stale over the last two seasons and the time was right for a fresh approach.
Again, this is all part of the business and Zimmer is now working with Deion Sanders at Jackson State. But some comments regarding the departed head coach from current and former Vikings players left a sour taste in the mouth.
There was no need for many to express displeasure about Zimmer’s methods and approach after he’d been removed from the organization. It lacked class and especially after everything he’d done for the Vikings during his time in the role.
Just move on and focus on the new regime.
It wasn’t too much to ask.
While Zimmer’s time with the Vikings had run its course, one would think there are many players on the roster that are grateful for the faith he showed in them. Even though an elusive first Super Bowl title couldn’t be achieved despite a couple of near misses.
Kevin O’Connell has been a breath of fresh air for everyone within the franchise. Hopefully, this can make all the difference as the Vikings look to emerge as dark horse contenders in 2022.
