Dantzler is coming into his best football
There are some very bright spots on the Minnesota Vikings’ defense and soon Cameron Dantzler will be considered one of them. He has quietly been improving every week and even handled some plays this week against DeAndre Hopkins.
Dantzler’s coverage skills keep getting better while his tackling is solid. He actually led the team in tackles with nine, all of which were solo efforts. He reads and reacts to plays well, closing in fast on opposing ball carriers.
It was fun watching Dantzler drag opponents to the ground all by himself with good form and a secure grip on the target, twisting and pulling to bring down bigger players than him. His fight and determination are obvious and he should be a good part of Minnesota’s defense for many years.
There has been a revolving door of cornerbacks for the Vikings for several years now. The team has invested a lot of draft picks into the secondary and it would be nice to see some of them stick around for a while, at least the good ones, anyway….
