Eric Kendricks – LB

From 2019 to 2021, Eric Kendricks finished with a top-10 pass coverage grade from PFF among all linebackers. During the 2022 season, Kendricks’ coverage skills have fallen off a cliff.

Through 14 games, the veteran Minnesota defender has nothing even remotely close to a top-10 pass coverage grade from PFF. Among all linebackers around the NFL this season, Kendricks ranks 76th in pass coverage according to PFF.

When the Vikings linebacker has been targeted in pass coverage this year, opposing passers have completed 75.4 percent of their throws. That’s the highest completion percentage Kendricks has allowed since his rookie season in 2015.

He’s just not the same linebacker anymore who was a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2019. At 30-years-old, Kendricks can’t keep up with the majority of the opposing running backs and tight ends around the NFL today.

Scheduled to have a cap hit of more than $11 million in 2023, Minnesota needs to absolutely listen to any possible offers for Kendricks sent their way during the upcoming offseason.
