Silver Lining No. 1
Minnesota's offensive line held up despite multiple injuries
The Vikings' offensive line was never given much of a chance against the Eagles in this game. It was for good reason too. The mismatch on paper was huge, and many predicted that Philadelphia could approach double-digit sacks.
The Eagles only hit home twice, and kudos should go to Minnesota's offensive line for achieving that. But what is even more impressive is the fact that the Vikings were able to accomplish this despite how depleted their blocking unit was.
Minnesota left tackle Christian Darrisaw didn't play in this one, as he tweaked an injury in warmups. Oli Udoh took his place, but then he suffered an injury and that forced the Vikings to go to their third-string left tackle, David Quessenberry.
Minnesota was also rolling with their backup center Austin Schlottmann after Garrett Bradbury was inactive due to a back injury.
The Vikings' offensive line was down to a third-string left tackle and a backup center, and they still held the Eagles to just two sacks. Minnesota's blockers also allowed Kirk Cousins to throw for 364 yards in Philadelphia.
The Vikings offensive line is still a major sore spot on this team, but the fact they actually held their own despite being depleted against a stacked Eagles defensive line was impressive.
