5. The Vikings will win an ugly game in Atlanta

When the Vikings last visited the Falcons in 2017, they were in a similar situation to where they are now.

Minnesota was an ascending team, and they were navigating the loss of their starting quarterback, Sam Bradford. At the same time, Atlanta was contending for a playoff spot, but they were not quite contenders, and both defenses were good enough to challenge each other to a low-scoring game.

The Vikings wound up winning that game 14-9 on their way to a division title and a run to the NFC Championship.

While they may not have as much talent as they did in 2017, Minnesota has enough to come up with a similar victory on Sunday.

Losing Kirk Cousins is a major loss and makes things difficult the rest of the way. But the offense and defense were both gaining steam prior to the injury.

If the Vikings can do what they’re capable of, they should have enough to beat the Falcons and climb above .500 for the first time this season.

Prediction: Vikings win 16-10
