Josh Uche - EDGE (New England Patriots)

Last season, Josh Uche made a name for himself as a rising star in the NFL, but injuries caused him to slow down in 2023. After an impressive 11.5 sack season, he has only managed to accumulate three sacks this year.

Uche hails from New England, and he has experience with a system similar to the one used by Brian Flores here in Minnesota.

This makes him a potentially valuable addition to the Vikings' roster, especially if they don't want to spend a lot of money on an edge rusher during the offseason.

While he may not receive accolades like a Pro Bowl selection or an All-Pro honor, he is still a valuable player who can consistently get double-digit sacks if he stays healthy and is put in the right system.

However, consistency has been an issue for Uche, as he has been a rotational edge rusher for the Patriots.

If the Vikings bring back D.J. Wonnum, Uche would take on Patrick Jones II's current role, or vice versa. Either way, Uche's presence would be a significant asset to a defense that struggles with pass rush outside of Daniel Hunter.

While he may not change the Vikings' defense overnight, he is a piece of the puzzle the team is trying to put together.
