Vikings News: Maurice Jones-Drew has strong opinions on Minnesota's quarterback situation

These days, everyone is talking about what the Minnesota Vikings should do regarding their quarterback situation this offseason. NFL Network analyst and former running back Maurice Jones-Drew is among those vocal about their opinion.

In a video shared on the official website of the NFL, Jones-Drew stated that if he were in the shoes of Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah he would let Kirk Cousins walk since re-signing him would have a major financial impact on the team.

Jones-Drew feels there are some great quarterbacks in this class that will be available who can make plays and that Minnesota should look to the draft for their next signal-caller in the Vikings' "quarterback-friendly offense."

Instead of re-signing Kirk Cousins, Maurice Jones-Drew likes the idea of being able to extend Justin Jefferson and spend that salary space on other positions of need. Conversations about what the Minnesota Vikings should do at quarterback will likely continue to dominate the team's conversations until a decision is finally made.
