Brett Favre Twitter Account Overtaken

Former Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Brett Favre finally joined Twitter! Yep, the real genuine, gun-slinger! Good ole number four, himself! The future Hall-of-Famer! The man from Mississippi! Mr. 500 plus touchdowns! You get the point…it’s really him. Or at least it WAS really him for a short period of time. Thanks to an email sent out by the official Brett Favre website, we now know it’s no longer really Brett on the Twitter account “@Brettfavre4”.
The email that www.officialbrettfavre.com sent out reads as follows:
“Greetings Brett Favre fans,
Please accept our sincere apologies regarding the information that we passed along regarding Brett’s new Twitter account last Friday, March 2nd. Since Monday, March 5th an unknown party has taken over Brettfavre4 and has been tweeting without authorization.
At this time neither Mr. Favre or ourselves have any idea who is tweeting for him on his account. It is most certainly NOT him or anyone he is associated with. From Friday evening until Sunday night last weekend this account was the actual Brett Favre Twitter page, and was the actual Brett Favre, himself tweeting. The last REAL tweet from Brett was to Russell Wilson Sunday evening. Anything after this was an imposter that somehow gained access to his account and began posting bogus tweets. Once again we apologize, and if any news comes up surrounding this disaster we will inform you all immediately.”
That was pretty much all that they had to say about the matter. That was crazy enough for me though! As if there aren’t already enough bogus Brett Favre’s on Twitter confusing people, now someone had to take over the ACTUAL real Brett’s Twitter account! Since then though it seems Brett has a new Twitter account, “@Favre4Official”. This account is verified, and so far seems to still be the “official” Twitter for Mr. Favre. Let’s hope it stays that way. I know I’m a bit of a Twitter-bug myself, and I was super pumped to hear that Brett Favre was actually really on Twitter! My Twitter account name is @favrefoofan after all. I know…I’m shameless.
