The Minnesota Vikings make their first road trip of the year Sunday afternoon, traveling to Lucas Oil Stadium to face the Indianapolis Colts. The Vikings hope to build momentum coming off a thrilling season-opening overtime win against the Jacksonville Jaguars . The Colts meanwhile are looking to rebound after being crushed in their first game of the season by the Chicago Bears.

Christian Ponder leads a Vikings offense that surprised many in week 1 with its aerial proficiency. The Vikes may lack a true deep threat but Percy Harvin makes up for it with his big play ability lining up at multiple positions. Adrian Peterson returned from ACL surgery in week 1 and showed he can still be the same explosive player as before. The Vikes will look to victimize a Colts defense that was gashed both on the ground and in the air by Chicago a week ago.

Defensively, the Vikings look to unleash their pass rush against rookie QB Andrew Luck, who did a poor job handling the pressure against Chicago. Indy’s run game was nowhere to be seen against the Bears, but could find renewed life against a poor-tackling Vikings unit. The Vikings must also improve their coverage if they hope to resurrect their reputation as a stalwart defensive team.

The Vikings are healthy coming into this game, but such is not the case for Indianapolis who will be without defensive star Dwight Freeney. Receiver Austin Collie could also miss the game with lingering concussion after-effects. Winston Justice is expected to start after leaving the Bears game with a head injury.

Kick-off is 12 PM CT

The game will be televised in the Twin Cities on FOX KMSP-9 and on DirecTV channel 705.

The game will be broadcast on radio on KFAN 100.3 and across the Vikings radio network. Full list.

The game will be available on Sirius radio channel 138.
