Scott Allen of Raising Zona chimes in with this week’s five questions…

1. Kolb out, Skelton in. How does this change things for the Cards?

A: It means two more turnovers and a less manageable game. Skelton still shows his inexperience. Personally I think he is still overrated and is about a 7-14 point difference in the game vs. Kolb at this point. For the Cards, Kolb’s injury was unfortunate. Came at a bad time.

2. Talk about your offensive line. If you can stand the horror. Or maybe they’re not as bad as we’ve been told?

A: No – they are as bad as advertised. This isn’t one of those instances where the camera “add five sacks against”. No they suck. Period.

3. How good is the Cards’ defense?

A: Not as good as everyone thinks. Too soft in the secondary. Patrick Peterson will be a great one, someday. He isn’t there yet. The defensive line is a beast, but haven’t been able to get to the quarterback as much the past couple of weeks and that is worrisome considering the teams they’ve played the last two weeks.

4. Your division has suddenly become a brutal dogfight. Do the Cards have any chance of winning the race?

A: They have a chance of winning sure. San Francisco just needs to fold, Seattle needs to move to another city, and the Rams, well, apparently just have to show up and sack the quarterback nine times. Seriously though, no. Not now. Before Kolb’s injury, even with the other injuries that they have, I still would have said yes. No way now. They’ll be lucky to win two more games this season. Mark my words.

5. Larry Fitzgerald is admired by pretty much everyone around the league. Take this opportunity to gush about him.

A: Well there isn’t much more I can say about the guy that hasn’t already been said. He’s a pro’s pro. Still makes great catches and is a pure team player. He never complains about the quarterback situation. He somehow still finds a way to get the ball even with the way the offense is run these days. Love the guy.
