Adrian Peterson skipped practice on Thursday because of his sore abdomen. But that doesn’t mean Adrian just sat around Winter Park wasting his time. He made good use of his day off from the practice field by doing a sit-down with Erin Andrews. That interview will air this weekend on Fox. No idea what was discussed, but I’m guessing Eric Dickerson’s record came up. Probably Adrian’s surgery too. I’m guessing the word “beast” was used.

So yeah, it was a pretty big day at Winter Park. The big time media was there. Erin Andrews. The males in the facility were apparently pretty excited. Who says the national media ignore the Vikings?

But enough of this silliness. Back to Adrian’s injury. Adrian has now admitted that the abdomen strain, or pull or soreness or whatever it is, was the reason for him leaving the Houston game. Adrian said he didn’t feel like he should stay in late in the game with the Vikes needing a touchdown to ice it. “I feel like it was best for Toby [Gerhart] to go in at that point in time on that play, that he would give us a better opportunity to get it in the end zone,” Adrian said.

Naturally Adrian does not believe this injury will prevent him from making a run at Eric Dickerson’s record. “Deep down inside, I feel like I’ll get it,” Adrian said.

He doesn’t need practice anyway. He can easily tear up that soft Packers defense.
