Greg Jennings Bails On Media In Wake Of Latest Vikings Loss

Greg Jennings didn’t wait around to be grilled by the media in the wake of the Vikings’ humbling 44-31 home loss to Jennings’ former team the Green Bay Packers. The last we saw of Jennings he was talking to Aaron Rodgers on the field right after the final gun. The receiver then apparently made a beeline for the locker room to gather up his stuff and vacate the premises before reporters arrived.

A weasel move by the normally media-friendly Jennings? Maybe. But frankly I don’t know if I blame him. Nobody really wants to talk to the press in the wake of such a loss, and the grilling would’ve been doubly-tough for Jennings what with him nearly being shut out by his old team.

Jennings is probably sick of hearing about Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers by this point. At least that’s the impression I get. There are those who will slam him for bailing on the media like that but I’ll give him a pass. Things have obviously not gone the way Jennings and the rest of the Vikings envisioned when the season started.

Will this latest humiliating defeat lead to changes on the coaching staff? Who knows. Turmoil certainly is the order of the day in Minnesota. This isn’t what Jennings signed up for, but you won’t see too many people crying for him. He’s getting paid quite a lot of money. And his paycheck will still be coming even if he only caught one ball Sunday night.

He sure had no problem running his mouth all summer long. Fact of the matter is that he handled the transition like a spoiled 8 yr old. Everyone loved him at GB and had he just gone to Minnesota like a professional, Packer fans would still love him and feel sorry for him. Everyone understood this was his last big contract and he needed to get the most money. There were no hard feelings from any one. But he choose to bad mouth the Rodgers and the organization, so he now gets what he deserves.

mostly everything he said was true.
It’s not his fault that the vike’s have the coaching staff of a high school team.

      • Tom Weiland

You couldn’t be more wrong. But then again, you ARE a vikings fan. Sucks 2 B U.

        • Lars McDougal

I really hope you end up with leukemia someday.

          • Tom Weiland

Holy crap! LMFAO. It’s doesn’t run in my family, but I’ll do my best. And if I do end up dying of leukemia many, many years down the road, the vikequeens still won’t have a LOMBARDI trophy!!!

No it sucks to be you . . . Go by some more worthless stock, or for that matter, go shove your head into another block of CHEESE! What color is your uniform, piss yellow or puke green? . . . oh it is both . . . . LMAO!

1-6 glasses? Enjoy another year in the cellar!

I don’t believe for one second that the fans would still love him. They sure didn’t for Favre.

      • Mike King

Yes because Favre is the only Packer to end up on the Vikings in the last 10 years. You do realize that Longwell retired as a Packer right? Oh wait, we must have hated him as well.

        • Shaun Zeus Guthier

I’m fairly certain there’s a lot less love for kickers than there is for a quarterback or wide receiver. But whatever.

  • Lars McDougal

I hate people from wisconsin and lots of packer fans deserve lou gehrig’s disease.
