Greg Jennings didn’t wait around to be grilled by the media in the wake of the Vikings’ humbling 44-31 home loss to Jennings’ former team the Green Bay Packers. The last we saw of Jennings he was talking to Aaron Rodgers on the field right after the final gun. The receiver then apparently made a beeline for the locker room to gather up his stuff and vacate the premises before reporters arrived.

A weasel move by the normally media-friendly Jennings? Maybe. But frankly I don’t know if I blame him. Nobody really wants to talk to the press in the wake of such a loss, and the grilling would’ve been doubly-tough for Jennings what with him nearly being shut out by his old team.

Jennings is probably sick of hearing about Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers by this point. At least that’s the impression I get. There are those who will slam him for bailing on the media like that but I’ll give him a pass. Things have obviously not gone the way Jennings and the rest of the Vikings envisioned when the season started.

Will this latest humiliating defeat lead to changes on the coaching staff? Who knows. Turmoil certainly is the order of the day in Minnesota. This isn’t what Jennings signed up for, but you won’t see too many people crying for him. He’s getting paid quite a lot of money. And his paycheck will still be coming even if he only caught one ball Sunday night.
