It’s been a couple weeks since I have updated my mock draft.  There is a lot of moving and shaking going on, especially at the top, where I now have the Texans selecting a quarterback.  Although the combine will change the stock of many players, here is mock draft version 2.0.  To look at the previous mock, click HERE.

the VIKES will not take a QB at #8..I know it’s a need but they will be trading down or taking one of the top defensive players on the board…Mack,Dennard,Barr,Mosley

    • kyle

I think they trade down as well, but I think the pick will be Derek Carr somewhere between 10-15. Spielman wants 10 picks to work with and he could still land his QBOTF.

Manziel…Bridgewater…Bortles…Carr…trade for Mallett…trade for Matt Flynn…trade for Kirk Cousins…Tajh Boyd, McCarron…when will all of this speculation, all of these predictions, all of these “mock drafts” stop absolutely wearing Viking fans down?? Personally, EVERY TIME I read another article about QB’s for Minnesota’s future, I change my mind as to WHICH OPTION is going to be the best one for the team. The draft is still a good ways off, yet I have butterflies every day! The Vikings need to fill holes all over the defensive side of the ball, AND they need not just A QB, but THE QB. Simply put, these positions need game changers inserted into them, in an attempt to turn this team into a legitimate contender and eventual Super Bowl champion. With Rick Spielman thrown into the mix, it’s just another wild card that makes the future that much more unpredictable for the Vikings AND their fans. Whether they trade up, down, around, pick a potential “franchise QB” for the future, make a trade for a FA veteran, and start drafting to rebuild that horrid defense, I can only hope for me, AND all the other Viking fans that will be sweating bullets until opening day, 2014, and beyond, that the best choices are made for the teams’ future, so that their fans will FINALLY have something to look forward to well past the halfway point of the regular season…into December, and beyond!! SKOL VIKINGS!!!

If bortles or Bridgewater is there at 8 Vikes take them if not they either take BPA(defense) or trade back to get the defensive player there targeting …personally I wouldn’t mind grabbing Watkins if he was there an get our QB in the 2nd or 3rd round
