From Northwestern bio: (2013) Second year as team co-captain. [As QB] Owned a completion percentage of 78.8 (63-of-80) with four passing TDs on the year. Ranked second on the team with 489 rushing yards and five TDs despite missing most or all of five games due to injury.

Father played for the Colorado Buffaloes and was a member of the school’s 1990 national championship team.

From Rob Rang scouting report: “A natural with the ball in his hands. Good vision, showing some lateral agility to elude as well as burst to separate. Catches the ball cleanly, extending his hands to snatch away from his frame. Should be able to provide an added degree of understanding to an NFL offense due to his experience at quarterback. Tough player who played through an ankle injury for much of the 2013 season that ultimately required surgery. Offers legitimate upside at slot receiver if allowed time to develop in this role.”
