The Vikings are 3-1 all-time against the Raiders in preseason. Their last preseason meeting was in 2006, with the Raiders winning 16-13. The only current Vikings remaining from that team are Chad Greenway and Cullen Loeffler.

Current Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner was head coach of the Raiders from 2004-2005.

Keep an eye on the Oakland Raiders DBs, who are currently being coached by former Vikings DB coach Joe Woods.

Vikings backup guard Austin Wentworth blocked for Raiders quarterback Derek Carr at Fresno State.

Adrian Peterson is not expected to play against the Raiders. Matt Cassel has been announced as the starting quarterback but backup Teddy Bridgewater is expected to see action with the first team.

Friday’s game marks the debut of Mike Zimmer as Vikings head coach. Good luck Zim.
