Greg Jennings Returns To Practice For Minnesota Vikings
By Adam Carlson
Earlier this week, there was a concern that Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Greg Jennings would miss Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers with a rib injury. Those doubts have since been erased because the veteran wide receiver participated in Friday’s practice.

If Jennings is unable to go, the Vikings would have had a problem on their hands at wide receiver. Young pass catcher Jarius Wright is currently listed as questionable for Sunday’s contest and is dealing with a hamstring problem. If both Greg Jennings and Wright had been deactivated for Sunday, the Vikings would have been rolling forth with Cordarrelle Patterson, Charles Johnson, and Adam Thielen as their only wide receivers on their 53 man roster.
Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer is hopeful that Greg Jennings will be available according to a tweet from the Minneapolis Star Tribune’s Matt Vensel:
Minnesota will want Greg Jennings available for Sunday’s game against his former team. Not only is it a division rival, but the Vikings would love to play spoiler to a Green Bay team that is on a two game win streak and has scored 108 points in their last two games. Minnesota will need all the talent and skill that they have available to contend with the Packers, and that includes wide receiver Greg Jennings.
