The Madden franchise is one of the most popular game series in video game history.  What is nice about games like Madden 15 is that the game updates each week with new player ratings based on the players’ performances through the season.  The Minnesota Vikings have seen quite a bit of activity on Madden, especially in the update following the week 15 games.

Here are the most notable changes to the ratings of the Minnesota Vikings players:

Three Biggest Vikings Players On The Rise

The biggest change for the week came for wide receiver Charles Johnson, who found his overall rating raise from a 73 to a 75.  His awareness jumped four points, catching went up one point, spectacular catch was raised by two points, catch in traffic was increased by two and route running improved by 3.

Rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater also saw his overall rating increase.  He went from a 80 to an 81 overall, with improvements to his awareness (+1), mid range accuracy (+1), deep throw accuracy (+1), play action (+1), and throwing on the run (+1).

Defensive end Everson Griffen found his overall rating go up from an 87 to an 88.  He gained two points in awareness and one point in each of the following categories: agility, tackling, power moves, block shedding, and play recognition.

Two Vikings Players In Free Fall

Kicker Blair Walsh took a huge dive in ratings, plummeting three points overall from an 83 overall to an 80 overall.  The biggest hit to his rating came in his kick accuracy, where he lost two ratings points.  He also dropped one point in kick power and awareness.

Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson found himself falling two points from a 78 overall to a 76.  His release went down four points.  Patterson’s catch, spectacular catch, and catch in traffic all went down two points each and his agility, awareness, and route running each took a one point hit.

With two weeks left in the NFL season, there are plenty more adjustments that can be made to the Madden 15ratings.  It’s reassuring to see some of the young players having their ratings go up, but frustrating to see some of the talented youngsters taking a big hit to their ratings as this point in their careers.
